Dr. Stefan Kreuzer, a world expert on robotic joint replacement surgery, has performed over 4,000 anterior hip replacements. He’s one of the very few experts in the world to have performed a revision total hip replacement through the anterior approach. Dr. Kreuzer champions minimally invasive and computer-assisted hip and knee replacement surgeries.
He currently works on multiple next generation knee and hip implants design teams and consults for many device companies, further advancing the industry’s care for patients. He actively trains other surgeons, lecturing and demonstrating his surgical techniques throughout the United States, Asia, and Europe.
He also serves on several medical advisory boards, most notably as a board member of ISTA and as the chairman of the Masters Course on Anterior Hip Replacement Surgery with ICJR in Houston.
A native of Switzerland, Dr. Kreuzer moved to the United States in 1983. He graduated from medical school at the University of Texas in San Antonio in 1995 and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch. He then undertook a fellowship in adult joint reconstruction at the Baylor College of Medicine in 2001.
