Business Analyst, Automation & Optimization


Immertec is an award-winning startup that pushes the limits of what’s possible in virtual health. Using our virtual reality platform, surgeons in remote locations get transported into an operating room, where they learn modern surgical procedures and collaborate with other surgeons in real-time.

What You’ll Do

The Business Analyst, Automation & Optimization will capture business requirements to create clear and compelling solutions. This role is highly collaborative and will work with the Operations, Engineering, Human Resources and Finance groups to ensure data is properly captured and converted into stories that will support business objectives and decision making. Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and synthesize data to summarize and make recommendations that effect business cases, hiring plans, budgets, etc.
  • Document, measure, automate and manage the flow of data from disparate sources
  • Implement and review processes and technology to meet business requirements
  • Maintain an understanding of all internal and external applications and integrations
  • Manage issues that can be fixed and enhancements that can be made to improve our processes so that they become more robust, scalable, and efficient
  • Manage external vendors and partners (i.e. data warehouse, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience with a focus on automation and optimization (previous experience as an analyst)
  • Familiarity with RPA technologies (e.g. UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism)
  • Experience with process analysis, design, and implementation, business and technical requirements, and system testing, including UAT and bug fixes
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience developing internal systems
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in software
  • Ability to identify customer needs, gather requirements, and execute independently
  • Ability to take on projects that require taking initiative and developing new expertise
  • Creative approach to problem solving and exceptional analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment that includes working with changing needs and requirements
  • Experience with tools like Pipedrive, HCM and ATS systems, Jira, automation platforms/ frameworks/ tools
  • Familiar with Agile software development techniques
  • Experience with database management
  • C certifications such as ITIL, CoBIT, PMP, Lean Six Sigma are a plus
  • Must enjoy and be willing to learn new and emerging technologies
  • Team player
  • Highly organized and comfortable wearing multiple hats
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to succinctly present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Highly driven and hard working
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, etc.)
